Mike Applegarth
Mike has been a personnel and training professional for 30 years and has
conducted assignments ranging from Sales and Customer Service through to
tailored Management and Leadership Development from Supervisor level to
the Board. These have involved design of distance-learning material as
well as design and delivery of tailored courses. Particular expertise
has been gathered within the Insurance, Finance and Retail, Information
Technology, Facilities Management, Petrochemical and Pharmaceutical
industries, as well as in the public sector.
He is also the author of "How to Take A Training Audit" (sponsored by the ITD and Kogan Page), "Leading Empowerment" and co-author with Keith Posner of "The Empowerment Pocketbook", "The Project Management Pocketbook" and "Call Centre Customer Care Pocketbook".
Aside from designing and implementing solutions, Mike assesses an organisation's HR and training infrastructure for effectiveness, and has had significant involvement with national initiatives such as NVQs and Investors in People.
